Our Mission

360iGym Artistic gymnastics mission is to help children grow and develop in a happy, healthy and positive manner through the art and sport of gymnastics. Every child is unique and deserves the individual attention necessary to inspire them to reach their full potential.

We dedicate ourselves in providing a safe environment for children to explore the joy of physical activity through gymnastics. While helping to instill self-esteem and self-confidence in our gymnasts, we foster a sense of dedication and commitment to goal setting that will ultimately lead to success in any of life’s endeavors. Our programs are designed to develop strength coordination and balance.

We strive to motivate each individual with energetic and positive coaching to become their personal best.

How to Prepare for Class 

It is important to remember that no jewellery, sunglasses, hats, or street clothes are worn in the gym. Only proper gym attire (snug fitting shirt and shorts or tights) will be permitted. Students may jump either barefoot or wear special gym slippers.

Artistic Recreational Class Description

Students are taught from basics to advanced level of gymnastics. Emphasis is made on motor skills,coordination, strength, flexibility, along with skills on the trampoline, balance beam, uneven bars,high bars, rings and floor exercise. The program is categorized into 4 levels – Beginner, Beginner Plus, Intermediate and Advanced.

 
GIRLS BEGINNER

(Ages 6 to 8) 70 minutes

Students in this 70-minute class are taught the basics of gymnastics through a progressive method of instruction. Flexibility and strength are introduced to complete a well rounded gymnastics experience. All gymnastics equipment appropriate for this level will be used. Movement to other levels are by skill.

GIRLS BEGINNER PLUS

(Ages 9 & up) 90 minutes

Students in this 90-minute class are taught the basics of gymnastics through a progressive method of instruction. GIRLS ADVANCED

(Placement by skill) 120/90 minutes

Students in this 120 minute class are taught some of the highest progressions of gymnastics. Learning from their intermediate skills, each gymnast progresses at their own pace. Flexibility and strength are required and are helpful for the gymnast to improve and gain skill. All gymnastics equipment appropriate for this level will be used. Movement from this level may include team involvement.

HIGH SCHOOL CLASS

(Ages 14 & up) 120 minutes

This class is reserved for all levels of high school team and recreational gymnasts. It will cover all of the aspects of every competitive event and include other non-competitive events such as trampoline and tumbling. This class is a great way to improve one’s flexibility, strength and endurance.

ADULT CLASS

(Ages 18 & up) 60 or 120 minutes – Drop in rates available

This drop-in free-form class is supervised by one of our senior instructors. All areas of the gym are open for exploration. This open workout caters to the adult enthusiast and can be a great way to improve both skill and flexibility for this and many other sports.

Instructor/student ratio = 1:10

 
PRIVATE LESSONS

30 or 60 minutes

One-on-one sessions for gymnasts are a great way to get personalized instruction. If your child is having difficulty with a particular skill or would like to focus on a new skill, please schedule a thirty minute or sixty minute lesson with one of our experienced, safety-certified instructors. Cheerleaders, Martial Artists and other Athletes Welcome!

All fees are to be paid before the private lesson begins (cash, check or charge). Emergency reservations, sooner than the next available date may be possible at an additional cost. 360iGym reserves the right to refuse a lesson request. We reserve the right to cancel a private lesson and return a full refund. All lessons start and stop as per the agreed time regardless of the client’s presence. Cancellation notice: Please contact the gym at least 24 hours prior to your lesson if you need to cancel, otherwise you are expected to pay for the scheduled time. Private lessons are not to conflict with previously scheduled staff responsibilities.

Artistic Recreational Coaches

Coach Robert McGrew

Coach Robert serves as the Director at 360i Gym where he oversees all programs. An accomplished and award-winning coach for now 30 years, Robert has trained teams across a full range of gymnastic disciplines including Trampoline and Tumbling, Men’s Junior Olympic Gymnastics, Women’s Junior Olympic Gymnastics, USA Gymnastics Excel Teams, and Cheerleading. Throughout his career, he has coached many states, regional and national champions in both Power Tumbling & Trampoline and also gymnastics.

Robert is a former gymnast and power tumbler. He is also a former member of gymnastic and tumbling performance teams that entertained crowds at Portland Trail Blazers and Seattle Sonics games as well as at local colleges. He has also participated in team performances at Universal Studios and Disney World, as well as many other entertainment parks. Robert is a graduate of Portland State University and holds a degree in Business. He is also a former National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Certified Paramedic.

Certifications: USA Gymnastics National Level Coach Trampoline and Tumbling. USA Gymnastics Safety certified, Safe Sports. USTA National Level Coach Trampoline and Tumbling, USTA Safety Certified, Safe sport. First Aide CPR Advance Certified.

Christine Bedard, Coach

Coach Christine serves as 360i's After School Program Leader and as Head Instructor for the Parent-Child Program. Born and raised in Quebec City, Canada, she is fluent in her native language of French. Christine started in gymnastics at the age of three and was competing by the age of five. She has competed in two Canadian Championships and took first place on beam at the national competition level at age 12. After a long career in traditional gymnastics, she then began training at the Circus School in Quebec, perfecting her skills on the Russian Bar. She then became a professional acrobat for 15 years where she achieved national acclaim and recognition, performing to national audiences on Oprah, The Ellen Degeneres Show and also on America's Got Talent in 2008 and 2016. We are excited to have the talent, experience and expertise of Christine on the 360igym Coaching Team.

Carla Ririe, Dance and Acro Coach

Carla is a professional dance instructor with more than 20 years of experience. Her exceptional talent in teaching various choreographies has inspired thousands of students to dance. She is an expert in and has taught students in a broad range of dance styles and techniques including classical ballet, Spanish, Flamenco, jazz, hip hop, Russian Dance, Tap, Middle Eastern and Irish. Her passion for teaching and performing seeks the highest level of perfection.

Carla started dancing at a very early age, with her mother Melita Roberts. Later, at the age of 16, she graduated from the University of San Marcos as a dance teacher and also earned an International Folk Dance Diploma, Certificate of Choreography and Classical Ballet Certificate. Following her education, she traveled to the United States where she enhanced her dance education in Christiansen ballet and later on performed in companies all over the world including London, Peru, Spain as well as throughout the United States including Washington, DC and Northern Virginia.

Carla has earned numerous accolades and awards over her professional career. She is a former Miss Hispanic Utah first runner up, winner of the Washington DC Area Hispanic Cultural Arts’ Classical Ballet Best of Show Award, and received the Elite Performer Honor standing with a first place award in classical ballet at the London Theater. Carla has been recognized by the Fairfax Government Community Center and State Department for her dedication to teaching to the community. She also has taught at numerous DC areas’ studios, colleges and gymnastic centers.

Erika Turner

Erika has been a competitive gymnast for 7 years and continued her athleticism in cheerleading for 3 years and was a captain.   She raced in a half marathon when she was only 14.   As a high school cheerleader, she was a freshman and made varsity.  Erika continued to make All Conference, All Region, and All State individually and as a team made it to states. She was the only freshman in VHSL to receive all these awards. 

Erika also did track and cross country. As a freshman she made All Conference, All region, and All state in the 500m. She continued to run the rest of high school and became a captain for track.   She was the only captain that was in the junior class. In cross country Erika made All Conference and All Region and as a team got first at Conference and Regionals then got 3rd at states.  She also excelled in swim, Thai boxing, and CrossFit. 

Erika graduated with a 4.3 GPA,  was Activities Director in SGA(student government association), was a member of Beta Club (community service), and was the Secretary for NHS(National Honors Society) at Brentsville High School and continued her education at VCU in the honors program. 

She has a very bright and energetic disposition. She is CPR and First Aid Certified and USAG Safe Sport certified.
